Department of Computer Science and Computer Applications organised a two day National Conference on “Current Trends in Computational Sciences” on 31st August & 1st September 2018.
Students, Research Scholars and Faculties of various colleges came forward to present their papers and overall 38 Research papers were published in the conference proceedings.
The first day started with an inauguration by the following dignitaries - Dr. Natarajan Gajendran - Editor & Founder of Indian Journal for Science and Technology, Dr. Gopinathan, Associate Professor, University of Madras, Dr. G. Sussendran, Vels University, Chennai, College Secretary Mr. N. R. D. Prem Kumar, Principal Dr. Kamala Balakrishnan, Vice Principal Mrs. Japhia Solomon, Programme Convener Mrs. S. Meenakshi, Co-Convener Mrs. T. D. Srividya, Research Scholars and Faculty Members of various colleges.
Principal Dr. Kamala Balakrishnan welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Meenakshi gave introduction of the chief guests and they were felicitated by Mr. Premkumar.
Dr. Natarajan Gajendran presented the conference inaugural address; Dr. Gopinathan gave a special address, Dr. G. Sussendran delivered the conference keynote address.
In the Afternoon Session, keynote address on “Video Conferencing” was presented by Dr. Anand Nayyar, Duy Tan University, Vietnam and the technical presentation on “Data Intensive Computing” was given by Dr. L. Rajesh, Shankara University, Kanchipuram. Mrs. Srividya delivered the vote of thanks.
On the second day, the session began with the Technical address on “Big Data Analytics” by Mr. Ravichandiran, ICT academy, followed by Paper Presentation of Research Scholars and Faculties.
The Conference concluded with the Valedictory Session. Certificates were distributed to the participants. Mrs. S. Meenakshi summarized the conference events and proposed vote of thanks.
